Catastrophe & Casualties Workshop

Crisis Management: Keeping Calm and Carrying On

From 150 US dollars

Service Description

Workshop suitable for families, schools, hospitals, and businesses. Intense difficulty, trouble and danger are part of the human condition. At any given moment an isolated event can become a crisis for unprepared individuals/institutions. Individuals, families and institutions without suitable crisis management skills can be derailed instantly, spending extended unnecessary time on the path to recovery, or even incur permanent damage. Individuals, families, and institutions heavily rely on protocols that prepare them for the BIG crises that hit the news (911 emergencies, code red fire drills, etc.), but where do they stand when a contributing member has an unexpected upset? No one plans for a toddler to break their leg going down a playground slide, an adolescent/adult being hit by a drunk driver on their way to school/work, a healthy relative being diagnosed with cancer, or a once reliable partner breaking trust. Individuals/families/teams learn techniques which are best suited to their needs using scaffolding in their instruction. The program structure is geared toward helping individuals/families/teams change their outlook about crisis management. This workshop is designed to be tailor fit for specific individual/family/team dynamics, helping individuals/families/teams recognize the need for crisis management strategies, and which strategies are universal in strengthened resilience and shorter recovery periods. After completion of the workshop individuals/families/teams confidently move forward in active protocols that will strengthen and fortify response towards crisis.
